Dream Nurture Foundation is organising a free summer lesson program beginning in August at Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Nigeria. They need volunteers and a program director for the six-week free program.

The organisation is recruiting for two roles – Free Summer Lesson Volunteer and Program Director
- Free Summer Lesson Volunteer
Purpose: The free summer lesson Volunteer serves as a coach and mentor to children who will be attending the project organized by The Dream Nurture Foundation. You will be supporting the mission of the organization of giving educational opportunities to despondent children. Volunteers need to be 18 years and above. It is an unpaid volunteer position.
Location: Market Street, Ebute Metta – popularly known as ‘the beach’
Key Responsibilities:
- Takes part in fun activities organized for his/her class.
- Answers questions the children in his/her group may have.
- The volunteer is astute and able to notice changes in the children, especially those who are doing really well.
- The volunteer supports the children in his/her group and help boost their self-confidence.
- The volunteer gives the children opportunities to boost self-reliance and capacity building
- The volunteer needs to be prepared for each lesson day and have a time table handy.
Reports to: Program Director or positioned representatives in times of his/her absence.
Time Commitment: 9 am – 1 pm every week day. Volunteers NEED TO choose at least 3 days a week when they will be available.
Qualifications: SSCE School leaving certificate. You should also be friendly, reliable, and trustworthy and have good communication skills.
Support: The Program Director/ Assistant will be available for questions and assistance. You will always receive ongoing support from the Agency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating volunteers and Children for the summer program.
- Providing detailed daily and weekly report to the Executive director.
- Take part in activities happening during the program.
- Coming up with fun activities for the children.
- Ensuring volunteers understand their assignments.
- Manage volunteer database and reporting functions . Follow up with potential volunteers in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Competences
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to Manage volunteer and or station concerns and inquiries.
- Ability to support, network and motivate staff, volunteers and clientele.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills .
- Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships .
- Committed to the mission of serving seniors and adults with disabilities
Commitment: 8 am – 2 pm every week day. The program director is expected to resume at least an hour early to the site to make sure that everything is in place for the volunteers and the children. This is a volunteer position that comes with a monthly stipend.
