Nigerian Students’ Roundtable (NSR) is the largest students’ dialogue event in Nigeria. Season 2 of NSR holds on May 29th 2013 at Ikeja, Lagos.
We have been contacted by the convener of the conference to facilitate volunteer recruitment. There is an opportunity for 15 volunteers to join the  team of organisers in the following departments:

-Logistics

-Registration

-Ushering/Protocol
-Venue arrangement

Volunteers will resume a day to the event (28th May 2013) for a one hour meeting. They will also be expected to report on the conference day(29th May 2013) to help execute the conference.

VOLUNTEERS MUST RESIDE AT IKEJA OR ITS ENVIRONS.
Volunteers will get a certificate, networking opportunities with speakers/participants, and will be fed.

Openings for Youth training facilitators in Lagos

A youth engagement project of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative of the US Consulate General Lagos has partnered with us to facilitate the recruitment of 35 credible volunteers for its upcoming Leadership and Entrepreneurship training of students of public secondary schools in Lagos. The goal of the initiative is to reach 1000 students in 5 public secondary schools.

IDEAL PROFILE OF VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers should be:

– Passionate about teaching Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Social Change
– Available for 6 Wednesdays between October and November 2013
– Available for 2 Saturdays in August 2013 (for training).
Volunteers may fall into any of these 3 categories:
– Working class professionals who can spare 3 hours every Wednesday for 6 weeks between October and November
– Entrepreneurs who manage/run their own businesses and have flexible schedules
– Students who run their own businesses or have ran a business in the last two years
NOTE: Previous facilitation experience and experience working with youth will be an added advantage. Volunteers would be subject to assessment to ensure they are a good fit.
VOLUNTEER REWARDS
Volunteers will:

+Get a weekly transportation stipend

+Be awarded a certificate of volunteering from Promenade Youth Initiative and Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative of the US Consulate General, Lagos

+Be hosted to a closing dinner/lunch

+Get the opportunity to meet and network with young professionals passionate about social change in Nigeria

+ Be part of a network of change agents making a difference in Nigeria

Openings for LEAP Africa CEO Forum in Lagos

Hello Nigeria!  Welcome to the brand new month. MAY you find all you look for in it.

There are currently openings for volunteers at a one-day conference in Lagos. It is a regular programme that brings CEOs together to share issues relating to business sustainability; and this time, the focus would be on organisational culture. The conference would be holding at Lagos Island on May 21, 2013.

According to a representative of the organisation hosting the conference who contacted us, volunteers would be required to handle mainly registration of delegates and book sales. They are also required to report as early as 7am on Tuesday, 21st May 2013, and must be willing to stay till around 3pm. Also, they can expect to receive stipends to at least cover transport cost and to enjoy huge networking opportunities for career advancement.

Dress code is strictly CORPORATE
